On April 25, we’ll be part of Mülheimer Nacht! We’re really excited to bring the beautiful location to life—at least from the outside—for the first time, together with zwischendrin Köln e.V, der Hafenakademie and MATZE. Unfortunately, we can’t invite you into the interior spaces behind the beautiful brick façade just yet, but we’ll still be making the place visible. Come by from 8 PM and immerse yourself in an artistic light installation in the form of video mapping. We’ll be there throughout the evening and would love for you to stop by for a chat—and maybe bring your own kiosk beer along.

About the artists: Stulle&Peter are light and video artists who explore the relationship between space, light, technology, and society. To artistically investigate this relationship, they use a variety of light sources, different technical interfaces, and interactive elements between people and their environment in their installations. Urban-geographical themes are reflected in their work, as well as the transformation of nature, the opacity of materials, and the endless search for happiness.

Info about accessibility: The installation is visible from the street and therefore accessible by wheelchair. There will be no audio description. No strobe effects will be used. The Deutz Messe stop is at ground level. From there, it’s about a 15–20 minute walk along Deutz-Mülheimer-Str. to house numbers 151–155. The building is on the left-hand side.

Awareness: As this is an installation in public space, we will not be able to provide additional awareness structures during the event.

Wante (krakelee) opens the night with her tunnel-y techno style, then Jin Synth takes over with a more ethereal, meditative soundscape until Plumitaa brings it all together, closing the night. You are more than welcome to join us celebrating a hypnotic dance togehther.

Awareness: Unsere Veranstaltung bietet keinen Raum für Rassismus, Sexismus, Trans- & Homophobie sowie jeglicher Form von Gewalt, Hass, Ausgrenzung und Grenzüberscheitung. 

Dazu gehört an Karneval auch, sich mit der eigenen Kostümierung zu beschäftigen. Also mach dir bitte Gedanken über die Auswahl deines Kostüms und stell dir die wichtige Frage, ob dieses Kostüm andere Menschen oder Kulturen stereotypisiert, diskriminiert, anderweitig herabwürdigt oder Gewaltmonopole repräsentiert.

Wenn du auf unserer Party Unterstützung suchst, zögere nicht, dich beim Awareness-Point zu melden oder eines der mobilen Awareness-Teams anzusprechen. Die Awareness-Teams erkennst du an den roten Lichtern und dem Buchstaben »a«. Sprich uns an, wir sind für dich da.

Accessibility: Das Gebäude ist sowohl über den Vordereingang mit Treppe oder Rollrampe durch den Leo-Amann-Park als auch über den ebenerdigen Hintereingang, der über die Herbrandstraße und das HÖFCHEN erreichbar ist, zugänglich. Vom Hintereingang aus gelangst du über den großen Saal und das Café Fridolin zu allen Räumen im Erdgeschoss und kannst mit dem Fahrstuhl die oberen Etagen erreichen. Das Gebäude verfügt über zwei barrierefreie Toiletten, eine im Erdgeschoss und eine im Untergeschos, die mit klappbaren Spiegeln, ausreichend Platz und Haltegriffen ausgestattet sind. Eine Pflegeliege steht leider nicht zur Verfügung.
